I took inspiration for this project from a recent trip to Istanbul. I was astonished by the massive scale of the mosques and palaces in Sultanahmet, but also the incredibly minute detail of the ornate interiors. The architecture features beautiful colourful patterned tiles that cover whole buildings and huge domes. There are lots of chandeliers, fountains and decorative objects that cover the royal palaces and gardens.
